An elderly woman was killed after she was hit by a car in Massapequa Park Friday night.According to police, the woman, who has not yet been identified, was crossing Sunrise Highway at the intersection of Carol Drive at 10:47 p.m. when she was hit by a 2005 Chevy Tahoe. As a result of the collision, the woman suffered multiple traumatic injuries, police said. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead by a doctor.Police say the driver stayed at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
