Erosion Stabilization Project To Begin At Colleran Park: Report
Massapequa Park village recently hired a company to begin the $300,000 project to prevent further erosion at the local park.

MASSAPEQUA PARK, NY - The Massapequa Park Village Board recently voted to pay a total of $312,200 to Gatz Sitework and Landscape Construction Inc. to start an erosion stabilization project at Colleran Park this month, according to a report in Newsday.
The project will repair the create a barrier along the water, which has already lost up to 30 feet of shoreline over the past 10 years especially after Sandy, in order to prevent any further erosion, Newsday reports.
We need to get this done before the park is eroded any further,” Mayor Jeffrey Pravato told Newsday.
