Fatal Overdose Led To Arrest Of Dealer: Nassau Police

Police say the dealer had pills on him at the time of his arrest.

An investigation into a fatal drug overdose led Nassau County Police to the alleged dealer, who was arrested Tuesday evening.

According to police, detectives investigated a fatal overdose that occurred in Massapequa. The investigation led police to Andrew Roland, 34, of Potter Boulevard, Bay Shore. At the time of his arrest, police say that Roland was in possession of two pills believed to be Oxycodone Hydrochloride.

Roland was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to be arraigned today in First District Court in Hempstead.
