The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after the crash last week.

A GoFundMe page was recently created on behalf of the pedestrian who was seriously injured in a chain-reaction crash involving a cop car responding to a fatal fire in North Massapequa last week.
According to the page created by Irina Yadgarova, David Ben Mafrat is in critical condition after he was hit on Broadway.
The car that hit him, a Toyota Camry driven by a 63-year-old woman, was hit by a police car traveling northbound responding to a house fire on North Suffolk Avenue, police said.
