Media stopped giving coverage to Congressional members who talk, but do little or nothing to help the citizens who voted for them.

If

The public stopped watching, reading and listening to all the incendiary statements by opposing members of both political parties.

If

Cable news stopped interviewing elected officials seeking publicity and flashing their images constantly on the internet and TV screens

If

Publicity seeking elected Congressional members, (i.e., bringing a six pack of beer into the House, dancing in hallways, using profanity,) were ignored both by public and media

If

Every elected member of Congress and government was required to spend 40 hours per week working on legislation

If

Every citizen contacted their elected representatives and demanded an immediate vote on current problems facing our country

If

Every elected senator, congressman or woman was reminded of the promises they made when asking for the privilege to represent voters.

IF

Everyone in government took a sabbatical from tweets

IF

any of this happened

Then maybe our country would be running almost as smoothly as we expected when we cast our votes.

IF

it doesn’t, aren’t we also responsible for not telling them how we feel?
