Late-Night Fire Engulfs Massapequa Home
Firefighters were able to get the intense blaze under control, and no one was injured. A cat in the home died, though. See the video.
A home in Massapequa was severely damaged after a late-night fire on Wednesday.
Around 11:30 p.m., firefighters responded to a call for a house fire on Garden Avenue. The intense fire had flames leaping upwards of 20 feet into the sky.
Multiple fire departments responded to the scene. The fire ignited power lines above the home, spreading the fire to a nearby home. The second home suffered exterior damage.

Firefighters were able to get everyone out of the home safely. A cat died in the blaze, though.
