Man Broke Into 2 Nassau Homes, Assaulted Women: Police
The man called his nephew after the first incident and had him drive him to a second home where another assault occurred, police say.

A man was arrested on Sunday for assaulting two women in Levittown and Massapequa and his nephew was also arrested for picking him up and driving him from the scene of the first assault to the home where the second assault occurred, according to Nassau Police.
Officers responded to a 911 call at 1:25 a.m. for a disturbance at an Elm Drive South home in Levittown.
Police found that 50-year-old Rory Walsh, of Massapequa, entered the 58-year-old woman’s house through a back door, police said.

During a conversation with the woman, Walsh became agitated and tried to leave with woman's car, police said.
When the woman tried to stop him by getting into the passenger seat, Walsh began grabbing the her hair and choking her while attempting to get her out of the car, police said

The woman got out of the car and went back to the home. Walsh followed her inside then fled on foot westbound on Elm Drive South, police said.
Officers then responded to a 911 call at 2:07 a.m. for a disturbance at a Grove Street home in Massapequa.
Upon arrival, a 47-year-old woman stated that Walsh broke a front window and when confronted, he pushed the woman causing her to strike her arm, police said.
Walsh fled the scene, then returned and was arrested by officers after a foot pursuit, police said.
Nassau County Police Ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of her injury.
Upon the investigation, police found that Walsh had contacted his nephew, 19-year-old Joseph Cappa, also of Massapequa, after the first incident and had him pick him up on Wantagh Avenue and drive him to Grove Street, police said.
Cappa was placed under arrest at his home, police said.
Walsh is charged with two counts of second degree robbery, two counts of second degree menacing, two counts of second degree assault, first degree burglary, second degree burglary, fourth degree grand Larceny, third degree criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of third degree criminal mischief, fourth degree criminal mischief, intimidating a victim or second degree witness, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and aggravated criminal contempt, according to police.
He is currently hospitalized and will be arraigned as soon as medically practical, police said.
Cappa is charged with fourth degree criminal facilitation and second degree obstructing governmental administration and will be arraigned on Monday, police said.
