23-Year-Old Man Killed In Nassau Crash Into Tree
The man's Nissan left the roadway after the vehicle sideswiped another car late Wednesday night, police say.

NORTH MASSAPEQUA, NY - A 23-year-old man was killed in a North Massapequa crash late Wednesday night, according to Nassau Police.
At about 11:17 p.m., the man was driving a 2001 Nissan Maxima south on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway when he sideswiped a 2011 Nissan Altima being driven by a 24-year-old woman near Exit 5, police said.
The Maxima left the roadway and struck a tree, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Police have not yet identified the man who was killed, pending family notification. The investigation is ongoing.

The Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway was closed near the crash scene for several hours, but it reopened before the morning rush.
