A man was shot in the leg by an unknown assailant while he was walking in Massapequa Thursday evening. According to police, the 27-year-old man was walking near Fairfax Road and Cedar Shore Drive when he was shot in the leg by an unknown man. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not life threatening.Detectives ask that anyone with information about this shooting contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. A man was shot in the leg by an unknown assailant while he was walking in Massapequa Thursday evening.

According to police, the 27-year-old man was walking near Fairfax Road and Cedar Shore Drive when he was shot in the leg by an unknown man. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not life threatening.
