Masked Burglar Injures Two In Nassau Home Invasion

The burglar broke into the home on Sunday morning.

MASSAPEQUA PARK - Two people were injured after a burglar broke into a Massapequa Park home on Sunday morning, according to Nassau Police.

At about 5:33 a.m., the 22-year-old resident was sleeping in his May Place home when heard a noise inside.

He got up, began to walk around and found the man in his house.

The man, whose face was covered, was holding a large kitchen knife and demanded money.

A struggle ensued inside the side door and the resident suffered multiple stab wounds to both hands and one to his chest.

The man's aunt and uncle heard the commotion and came to his aid.

The 65-year-old woman was then punched in the ribs.

The burglar fled north on foot. Both victims were transported to area hospitals.

The burglar was described as white, about 5-foot-11 and between 20 and 25 years old.
