Massapequa High School Teacher Awarded By MIT

Congratulations to Christine Reynolds!

MASSAPEQUA, NY - Christine Reynolds, a science teacher at Massapequa High School, recently received the George B. Morgan Award from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Alumni Association.

She is a 1991 graduate of MIT.

Reynolds recently began her 18th year teaching physics at the high school, including Advanced Placement-level courses.

She has also worked with students in the Independent Science Research program.

She is a member of MIT’s Educational Council and is vice chair of the Long Island area. In her role as an educational counselor, she interviews prospective MIT students.

In addition to a bachelor’s degree from MIT in environmental engineering, she holds a master’s degree from the University of Michigan.
