Massapequa Mom Claims School District Will Not Allow Daughters to Attend Special Needs Program: Report
The local mother has been homeschooling her twin daughters, who have autism.

A local mother is claiming Massapequa School District would not allow her daughters to attend a program for children with special needs at the local public school, according to a report in ABC7.
Alyson Crowley has been homeschooling her twin daughters, Zoey and Quinn, who have autism, in the basement of her home for the first five months of Kindergarten, according to the report.
The district has provided nine hours a week of home instructions for the girls, but Crowley says they need more and wants the district to pay her over $10,000 she spent on private therapists.

"I was told they can only be put into the district program if I file waivers and globally settle all of my disputes," Crowley told ABC7. "It seems at this point it's almost as though you know, retaliatory because I've exercised my due process rights against the district."
