Massapequa Rep. LiPetri Hosting Pig Roast Fundraiser
Assemblyman Mike LiPetri is holding his first annual Pig Roast on Thursday at American Legion Post 1066.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — Come ready with your favorite barbecue sauce and an appetite to match, as Assemblyman Mike LiPetri is hosting his first annual Pig Roast on Thursday. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 1066 and ends at 8:30 p.m.
LiPetri, who represents Massapequa and the rest of New York's 9th District, is looking to raise money for his upcoming assembly race. Admission is $50 per person, but that comes with an open bar and all the barbecue food you can eat.
While LiPetri has no idea how many people will actually come this Thursday, he's confident those who do will have a great time.

"It's something I've wanted to do with the summer weather," LiPetri told Patch on Monday. "We'll have a nice pig roast, mac and cheese, a barbecue, and just hopefully a relaxing, fun time."
Asked whether he would throw an apron on himself and get behind the grill, LiPetri laughed and said no — "We'll have other people for that."
