Do's

I’ve always had a “TO DO” list. However, in today’s era of Coronavirus, I have begun something quite different.

I believe this is now the moment for a “DON’T” list.

Here is mine:

  1. Don’t Stay in bed
  2. Don’t worry about missing a weekly hair appointment
  3. Don’t Return to bed during daylight
  4. Don’t Stay up beyond midnight
  5. Don’t wear the same black T-shirt dress daily
  6. Don’t unwrap or eat the Easter candy.
  7. Don’t ever stop wearing makeup
  8. Don’t keep the TV on constantly while waiting for another news flash
  9. Don’t read more than one book daily
  10. Don’t drink more than three cups of coffee daily.
  11. Don’t order ANYTHING else from Amazon
  12. Don’t neglect to phone and/or email or Facetime friends and family
  13. Don’t forget the robust backlog of long overdue chores pending
  14. Don’t forget to look out the window every morning and enjoy God’s world.
  15. Don’t run out of flour or coffee
  16. Don’t be irritable about inconveniences or people or things
  17. Don’t dwell on anything negative
  18. Don’t forget to be grateful
  19. Don’t be unaware others are lonely, aged, ill and afraid.
  20. Don’t be afraid to offer kindness.
  21. Don’t complain.
  22. Don’t forget to thank all who deliver, cook, clean or touch our new world of isolation.
  23. Don’t neglect to believe in tomorrow.
  24. Don’t ever stop praying.
  25. DON’T forget to read this list
