Naked Man Approached Women in Massapequa Preserve: Police

The incident happened twice this week, police say.

MASSAPEQUA PARK, NY - Nassau County Police say they are increasing patrols after a naked man approached women on two occasions in the Massapequa Preserve this week.

One local mother posted on Facebook that she was approached by the man who had a hooded sweatshirt on but was otherwise naked on Wednesday at about 12:30 p.m.

The woman was on the path near the Jerusalem Avenue entrance near Lake Shore Drive in Massapequa Park when the naked man ran out from the woods and stood in front of her, she said in the post.

He hid his face under the hood, inching towards her until a bicyclist appeared, causing him to run back into the woods, according to the post.

Police said they are not sure when the second incident occurred, but said it happened some time this week.

Police are investigating the incident and no arrests have been made.
