Nassau County Police released the crime report for the week of May 11 to May 18.

Check out the following incidents and arrests near the Massapequa area over the past week as reported by police:

  • May 10: A man reported that someone damaged one section of his PVC fencing at his home on Mac Arthur Avenue in Plainview.
  • May 10: A man reported that someone stole the license plates off his car on Smith Street in Massapequa Park.
  • May 12: A woman reported that someone caused damage to her car window on Beach Road in Massapequa.
  • May 13: A man reported that someone stole the chrome pieces from the headlight of his car on Haypath Road in Old Bethpage.
  • May 14: Bailey Magnuson, 18, of Lindenhurst was arrested for stealing cash from the cash register at the Shop Rite located on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa.
  • May 15: A man reported that someone damaged his car while it was parked on Lambert Avenue in South Farmingdale.
  • May 16: Rudolph Gainey, 49, of Central Islip was arrested for shoplifting from Famous Footwear on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa.
  • May 16: A man reported that someone stole the license plate off his motorcycle at Goya Foods on Grumman Road West in Bethpage.
