Of course, none of can predict how much longer our journey will be, but I believe after reaching a turning point in birthday celebrations, we become realistic,
Naively, I have thought for quite a long time, as Mom would say, “I had kept up with the times.”
How foolish I am, and life keeps showing me that almost on a daily basis, However, I have to admit, it is rather fun.

Yes, fun to realize that although I have been blessed with (and I am not saying how many) decades when I have watched the sun and the moon and the stars, still there is so much more for me to learn before leaving this good earth.
I am not talking about dogmas, and history, and the good Lord knows, geography has never been my forte, but mundane daily occurrences that I still find amazing.

Let me tell you about the eggs.
For the last few years, since the health gurus have proclaimed eggs healthy again I have scrambled two eggs daily.
Again listening to those far wiser than I, I searched out a PFOA free ceramic pan for my morning meal. It was pristine and pure until I abused it by tucking it into my dishwasher. Of course, the directions warned me, but occasionally, I do live dangerously.
This time I paid a price. My lovely pan emerged yesterday, clean but with minuscule scratches in the ceramic lining. Of course, from vast knowledge obtained from Wikipedia, I realized that could be deadly in a span of twenty years so I quickly sent it to wherever the container marked recycle takes old ceramic pans. Immediately I then ordered a replacement from my other good friend, Amazon to be delivered within a week.
Until then morning breakfast, however, became a problem. I had the eggs, but no skillet, so once I again I turned not to the sage in my life, but yes, Wikipedia, and learned I could microwave scrambled eggs.
I am utterly amazed not only at learning another new thing, but my eggs are so good, via microwave, I could open a breakfast bar. And I certainly can cancel the new skillet.
And isn’t life interesting! Regardless of how many decades have gone by, there is still so much to learn.
