
One new member and new officers were elected recently by the Massapequa Board of Education for the 2017-18 school year.
The members were elected during the July 13 reorganization meeting.
Newly elected trustee Brian Butler and returning board member Gary Baldinger were installed by school attorney Randy Glasser.

Timothy Taylor was elected president of the board, Joseph LaBella was named vice president and Mr. Baldinger was chosen as secretary.
Superintendent Lucille F. Iconis, District Clerk Anne Marie Bellizzi, district treasurer Lisa Beratis and deputy treasurer Alan Adcock also took oaths of office.
