No. 77: Attend a Village Board Meeting
Get involved with your local Massapequa Park government.
Being a resident of the Village of Massapequa Park affords people the chance to be an active participant in their local government, and it's something more people should take advantage of.
It's important for any civic-minded resident to attend the village's regular public board meetings. Not only do you get to sit back and watch policy being made right before your very eyes, but visitors also get to speak their minds to the likes of Massapequa Park mayor James Altadonna and the rest of the board, all of whom give each resident's words equal time and weight.
The schedule of Massapequa Park's board meetings is available on the village's website. The meetings take place at the village hall building located at 151 Front Street, across from the Long Island Rail Road station. Meetings are generally held on Mondays at 8 p.m.
