North Massapequa Fire District To Host Commissioner Election

Three people will be running for Nicolas Paolucci​'s seat, who will be stepping down after 25 years.

NORTH MASSAPEQUA, NY - Residents in the North Massapequa fire district will hit the polls this week to choose a new commissioner.

The election will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the North Massapequa Fire Department headquarters on 1000 North Broadway.

Two current members and one former member of the fire department will be running for commissioner Nicolas Paolucci who will be stepping down after 25 years.

Residents will choose between current captain Joseph Canova, former chief Sean Abrams and current chief Fred Ferrara to be the new commissioner.
