Over, Done,

Endings are always difficult.

There’s nothing more painful than the end of a love affair.......

All goodbyes are traumatic.......

Even the end of a good book or movie can provoke a sense of ennui

But most of us learn to cope or at least wear the mask of bravado.,....

But that doesn’t seem to be happening tonight

As the final two year Muller Investigation finally concludes and not happily for those who instigated it......

Still, I thought losers traditionally jumped over the net and shook the winner’s hand

At least that’s what most professional athletes do

I know this wasn’t a game. Yet in a sense it really was; a political game that the citizens of our country paid thirty million dollars for and loathed watching or hearing about as it seemed to drag on endlessly

But now it’s over or it should be. Most Americans are weary of watching and listening, and we certainly, don’t need any more opinions or explanations or viewpoints from the spectator galleries.

That includes all the potential 2020 Presidential candidates looking for lurid headlines, minor celebrities seeking publicity or ambitious news analysts on primetime cable TV

Friends, Americans, Countrymen, it’s over, fini!

Two years have passed and the referee we selected to do the job has accomplished his task.

Okay, you don’t have to happily jump over the net, but let us all agree, it has concluded.

Now can we all quietly admit this painful chapter in our country’s history has ended and that it is done. The time has come for everyone to agree to move forward

Our country is anxious to do that. We are weary of the lengthy, ugly, spasm of accusation and innuendo..

And nobody regardless of political affiliation likes sore losers or wants to hear a word about payback.
