Question of the Day: Political Apathy

On Tuesday the Town of Oyster Bay held two budget hearings.  They were held at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to accommodate people with different schedules. 

Despite this, no residents came to address the Town's proposed spending plan?

Is this a case of apathy on the part of voters ? How much are you paying attention to the upcoming local elections in November or the 2012 presidential primaries which gets underway in a few months? 

At the same time, we're seeing political action on all sides of the spectrum from the Tea Party to the Occupy Wall Street movement. 

Are voters paying more attention to the issues or are they less interested?
