Question of the Day: Public Assistance

On Tuesday, we're seeing one more sign of difficult economic times.

The Bar Harbour Library is holding a program that will educate the public about Food Stamps.

The program is in place for all Americans who need it, but let's face it. It's not something most people associate with an affluent suburb.

But there are people hurting even on Long Island. And many people know people who are hurting.

S0 our question is: If you were in a position where you qualified for food stamps, would you sign up?
