Teen Was Driving Drunk On Nassau Sidewalk: Police
Police say the 18-year-old driver had a 14--year-old in the car while he was driving under the influence.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — A West Islip teen was arrested early Tuesday morning after police say he was found parked on the sidewalk in Massapequa after driving drunk.
According to police, a call came in at 7:08 a.m. for a car driving on the sidewalk near the intersection of Oakley Street and Clocks Boulevard in Massapequa. When officers arrived, police said they saw a black 2005 Ford Mustang partially parked on the sidewalk.
Francisco Rivera, 18, of West 1st Street, was sitting in the driver's seat with a 14-year-old boy in the passenger seat, police said. Rivera was placed under arrest without incident. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital for assessment and treatment, police said.

Rivera is charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and aggravated driving while intoxicated (Leandra's Law). He is scheduled to be arraigned on June 17.
