I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the phrase, “Blondes have more fun,” since I have never been one.
I do maintain, however, that Blondes definitely are all beautiful.
And, of course, that includes my Favorite daughter (who happens, also, to be my only daughter), and who miraculously inherited the lighter locks of her Germanic ancestors.

When I arrived in Michigan, the first resident I encountered on an unexpected exit to a stairwell caused by an unruly fire alarm, was a blonde.
Even in the dingy corridor she glowed, and I wondered again if I had been mistaken not believing the old Clairol ad. It is now too late on my journey, to change my image, but well, who knows what fun I missed along the way.

Shortly thereafter, sparkling in the sea of faces that stood out in the Pub, I encountered another blonde, equally beautiful.
For some strange reason, blonde hair is always accompanied by a vivacity of personality. They both share a liveliness that truly shines as brightly as their yellow locks. I have never determined which came first, the sparkling personality or the coiffure.
Sadly, now, both of the beautiful blondes who greeted me will be moving elsewhere.
Both of their relocations are based on happy, well chosen lifestyle decisions, and I realize they will not be far away in this relatively small town.
Still when they both depart for different locations, I fear a bit if not all of their glow will go with them.
I know it will for me when I gaze around the dining room and no longer see the halo of light that emanated from both these ladies whenever our paths crossed.
The lights on Broadway dim when a star departs. The lights in the Pub won’t do that when the two blondes exit, but I doubt they will ever shine quite as brightly.
I know you will spread your sunshine elsewhere, Beautiful ladies, but I will miss you both and the room will be a bit darker when we dine.
