I realize it’s November, and traditionally, it is a gray and rather gloomy month
Perhaps that might explain my lethargy or better yet, weariness on this overcast morning.
I’m savoring my second cup of strong black coffee, (it’s Saturday so I’m allowed) but as I listen to the morning news, suddenly I’m fatigued.

Then I wonder. Am I the only one?
I think not.

My own (and yes, it is only my personal opinion) is that America is tired.
Many of us are feeling less and less intrigued by the current political tug of war in our nation’s capital.
Despite the drum beating of the media, both internet and TV, and of course, the dying world of newsprint, the average citizen is reluctant to embrace the fray of discord, innuendo, and/or supposition that is currently suffocating the airwaves.
The constant flickering screen alerting us to another news flash; another press conference, another grandstand appearance by an endless parade of male and female, Republican, Democrat, and Independent politicians has become tiresome.
The topic is exhausted. The hourly statements, responses, and accusations on both sides is now annoying.
Traditionally, this is the week America remembers the heros who gave their lives to protect our great land.
If they could speak out, I wonder if their voices would be anguished at the current scene in our nation’s capital which certainly doesn’t reflect the world of the average American citizen.
Countless words have been uttered; innumerable accusations and denials are being heard from both sides of the aisle almost on a minute to minute agenda.
Let’s have a moratorium on the political grandstand until the citizens make their judgment and vote. I rather doubt that I am the only American who would like to say “Time Out.”
We’ve heard both sides now.
Enough.
Just allow the voters to decide who was right or wrong next November and take time this week to remember true American heroes.
