Unemployment Drop: Does it Mean Anything?
Unemployment dropped nationwide last month, is this an aberration or the beginning of the recovery?
The U.S. Labor Department announced a larger than expected drop in unemployment last month.
The jobless rate fell from 9 percent to 8.6 percent in November, leading some to believe that the job market may by about to recover.
But others said that the drop was caused by people leaving the labor force because they couldn't find jobs.
