Woman Drove Drunk With Young Son In Car: Nassau Police
Police got a call for a possible drunk driver, then found her idling with her 9-year-old in the front seat, they say.

A Suffolk mother was arrested and charged with DWI Tuesday night after police say she was pulled over driving drunk with her young son in the car.
According to police, officers received a 911 call for a possible drunk driver in Massapequa around 11 p.m. While canvassing the area, police saw a 2017 Nissan Maxima idling on South Bayview Avenue. After investigating, police say that the driver, Angela Briel, 34, of Cassa Loop, Holtsville, was drunk. Her 9-year-old son was in the passenger seat.
Police arrested Briel without incident. Her son was released to a relative.

Briel is charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, Aggravated DWI (Leandra's Law), endangering the welfare of a child and driving without a license. She is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
