Woman Robbed At Gunpoint In Massapequa Parking Lot

It happened early Friday morning, police say.

Police are searching for a man who robbed a woman at gunpoint in a Massapequa parking lot early Friday.

According to Nassau Police, a 26-year-old woman was approaching her car in the parking lot of 5523 Merrick Road, which is the address of the Nautilus Diner, around 1:30 a.m. when a man grabbed her, pointed a small revolver at her and demanded her money and cellphone.

The woman complied and the robber fled on foot eastbound on Merrick Road with an undetermined amount of cash and the cellphone.

The robber, who was described as being about 6-feet tall, was wearing a black ski mask and black clothing. He also appeared to have black makeup on under his eyes.

The woman did not suffer any injuries, police said. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
