Drugs Sold Through Front Window at Suffolk County Home: Police
More than 6 pounds of marijuana and several loaded guns seized Thursday morning, police say; four arrested.
Four people were arrested on drug and weapon charges after police executed a search warrant at a Suffolk County home Thursday morning, police said.
About 6 pounds of marijuana and several loaded guns were among the items seized by police in Gordon Heights.
According to Suffolk police, in response to neighborhood complaints regarding drug dealing at 123 Gray Avenue, the Sixth Precinct Gang Unit, Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers and the Sixth Precinct Special Operations Team (SOT), executed a warrant with assistance from the Narcotics Unit around 7 a.m. Thursday.
People seeking to buy drugs would typically walk up to the home and conduct drug transactions through a front window, police said.
The following items were recovered, police said:
- Approximately 6 pounds of marijuana (packaged in various sizes)
- Approximately 30 grams of molly (MDMA)
- Numerous oxycodone pills
- A loaded shotgun located next to the window where drugs were sold
- A loaded Smith and Wesson .357 handgun revolver
- Scales
- Packaging materials
- A heat sealer
- Shotgun ammunition
- Cash
- Several fake handguns
The following people were arrested:
- Clinton Parks, 32, who lives at the home, was charged with fourth degree criminal sale of marijuana, fifth degree criminal sale of marijuana, second degree criminal possession of marijuana, fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
- Leonard Francis, 31, of Wilson Avenue, Gordon Heights, was charged with second degree criminal possession of marijuana, fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
- Willie Davis, 20, who lives at the home, was charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana.
- Sheila Richardson, 64, who lives at the home, was issued a field appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
Parks and Francis were scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday. Richardson and Davis are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be pending, police said.
