
SHIRLEY, NY - A man robbed a bank in Shirley on Wednesday morning, police said.
According to police, the man entered the Capital One bank located at 800 Montauk Highway at 9:50 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the man fled on foot southbound.
The robber was described as white, unshaven, possibly in his 30s, approximately 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11, with a medium build. He was wearing jeans, a black coat, a light-colored baseball cap and work boots.
