Police: Man Assaulted Woman After They Exited Same Train in Sayville
Incident occurred last week.

Police are asking for the public’s help to find a man who is suspected of assaulting a woman in Sayville last week after they both got off the same train.
The incident occurred at about 12:20 a.m. on March 12, police said.
The man and woman got off a train at the Sayville Long Island Rail Road station and the man then followed the woman for several blocks before assaulting her at Hiddink Street and Lincoln Avenue, police said.

The victim observed the suspect prior to the incident at the Bay Shore LIRR station. He was possibly heading to the Mastic/Shirley area, police said.
The man is described as black, 5-foot-8 with an average build, possibly in his 20s. He was wearing a grey beanie with a neon green ring around the top, a dark jacket and grey sweatpants at the time of the incident, police said.
