WEATHER UPDATE: Medford's Hour-By-Hour Snow, Ice Storm Forecast

All of Long Island remains under a winter weather advisory until 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The island is expected to receive less than an inch of snow, along with between one and two-tenths of an inch of ice accumulation before the precipitation tapers off early Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service says.

The NWS is warning of “very treacherous travel conditions today and tonight especially on any untreated surfaces as they will be very slippery.”

So far, Nassau–especially the North Shore–has taken the brunt of the storm, with several school districts deciding to close on Monday.

12- 2 p.m.: Cloudy

3 p.m.: Flurries

4- 5 p.m.: Light snow

6- 7 p.m.: Snow showers

8- 10 p.m.: Cloudy

11 p.m.: Few snow showers

Midnight- 3 a.m.: Snow showers

4 a.m.: Few show showers

5- 8 a.m.: Cloudy
