Parent Charged After Inappropriate Comment to Teacher

A Dinkelmeyer Elementary Schoolparent was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly made inappropriate comments about the school's principal during parent-teacher conferences.

Harbor Crab Company Restaurant and Marina in Patchogue has sent out additional security footage featuring the deer that burst through the restaurant's front window on Oct. 31, ripping upholstery and causing other interior damage before being captured by employees.

As previously reported, Suffolk County police and town animal control officers released the deer after determining it was not hurt.

The restaurant announced that everything broken has been fixed and is in operation.

Wantagh High School Locked Down

Police searched Wantagh High School Friday morning after receiving a report that a student might have brought a gun to school.

Cops received the report at 9:12 a.m. after  a student reported to school officials that he overheard another student saying that somebody may have gone to school with a firearm, Nassau County police  police said. Click here to read the full story.
