Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. Our staff offers a wide range of social and employment services, including: • Development of a personalized self-sufficiency plan • Case management and referrals • Employment services, job search skills, and work experience opportunities • Outreach and community support • Social and cultural adjustment assistance • English language support • Help with school, benefits, and local resource navigation • Transitional services and employment retention support We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. The driver who <a href="https://patch.com/new-york/plainview/police-seek-hit-run-driver-who-injured-pedestrian-hicksville-0">hit a 60-year-old man and drove away in Hicksville last week</a> has been arrested, police sid.Thomas M. Dee, 53, of Merrick, was charged with first degree assault, leaving the scene of an incident and leaving the scene of an incident and causing injury.According to police, a dark, late model pickup truck entered the parking lot, located at 370 Old Country Road, and hit a man walking through the lot at 11:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10.The truck, operated by Dee, also struck a parked vehicle before driving away eastbound on Old Country Road, police said.The man struck by the truck was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a head injury.Dee was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.Image via NCPD
