Merrick Reacts to Virginia Earthquake Felt at Home

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit Virgina this afternoon and the shocks were felt all the way in Merrick.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake was 3.7 miles deep and occurred near Mineral, Va., about 100 miles south of Washington, D.C.

People used social media, including Facebook and Twitter, to share their reactions (or lack thereof) to the natural disaster.
