The man saw he was bleeding from his abdomen, but was too drunk to care why. Police are investigating.

One Nassau residents partied so hard on July 4 that it wasn't until he sobered up the next morning that he realized he had been shot.
According to police, the 28-year-old man was being driven home by a friend from a party on Washington Avenue in Roosevelt when he realized he was bleeding form his abdomen. However, he was too drunk to care and didn't check to see what caused the bleeding.
After he slept and got sober, the man checked and saw the blood was from a gunshot wound. He went to a nearby hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
