Nassau Police Searching For Bank Robber

BREAKING: The man robbed the bank without any weapons, police said.

Nassau police are looking for a man that robbed a bank in Roosevelt Monday afternoon. According to police, the man entered the Bethpage Federal Credit Union at 405 Nassau Road at 12:58 p.m. and gave a note to the teller demanding cash.

The teller complied, and the man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapons were displayed and no injures were reported. There were seven employees and three customers in the bank at the time.

The robber is described as a black man about 25 years old, 6 feet tall with a stocky build and glasses, wearing a brown long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and a black hat.

Police ask that anyone with information about the robbery to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
