Levy Lakeside School's PTA and the Merrick Jewish Centre. Her work ranges from supporting local families to combating antisemitism and amplifying survivors' stories, and she hopes the recognition inspires more Merrick neighbors to get involved in community life. 
• East Meadow resident among 'Women of Distinction' (liherald.com) — A regional Women of Distinction ceremony recently honored leaders from across Nassau County, including Merrick's own Allison Sussman. The event highlighted 14 women for professional achievements and community service, with organizers hoping their examples inspire more residents, including those in Merrick, to step into leadership and volunteer roles locally.
