Police Release Photo Of Nassau Bank Robbery Suspect

Do you recognize him? Reward offered for info leading to an arrest.

Police have released a security camera picture of a man they believed robbed a Bank of America in Merrick on Aug. 29.

According to police, the man entered the Bank of America, located at 2020 Merrick Road in Merrick at approximately 2 p.m. and handed a note to the teller demanding money. The teller complied and the man fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.

There were two employees and no customers in the bank at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is a black man, approximately 35-45 years old, 5'11" tall and weighing 275-300 pounds. Detectives ask anyone with information about the robbery to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
