Vehicles Trapped in Flood Waters on Meadowbrook Parkway

The Merrick Fire Department assisted and rescued people trapped in their vehicles along the Meadowbrook Parkway between Southern State Parkway and Sunrise Highway. 

Heavy rain throughout Saturday night and into Sunday morning produced waist-high water, causing dozens of cars to be trapped until the fire department was able to create a safe exit.
