10-Year-Old In Car As Taconic Driver Arrested On Felony DWI: NYSP
The 49-year-old South Salem man, who was pulled over in the town of Milan, had a BAC of 0.13 percent, according to state police.
TOWN OF MILAN, NY — A Westchester man is accused of potentially putting the life of a child at risk, according to police.
The New York State Police say that on Saturday, around 1:48 a.m., troopers from Rhinebeck stopped a Chevrolet Suburban traveling north on the Taconic State Parkway, in the town of Milan, for traffic violations.
During the stop, troopers noticed that the driver, 49-year-old Thomas P. Dunn, of South Salem, showed signs of intoxication. Troopers then administered standardized field sobriety tests, which Dunn then failed, according to state police.

In addition, troopers found a 10-year-old child was also in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
Dunn was arrested and taken to State Police Livingston for processing, where he submitted to a chemical breath test, resulting in a blood alcohol content of 0.13 percent.

The child was safely released to a sober third party.
Dunn was charged with felony aggravated DWI with a child passenger (Leandra's Law); misdemeanor DWI with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more; and misdemeanor DWI.
He was issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Milan Court on July 2.
