15-Month-Old Critical, 2 Others Wounded In Weekend Shooting

The shooting involving three victims, including a baby, is being investigated by the Village of Monticello Police Department.

MONTICELLO, NY — This weekend's gun violence has left a baby in critical condition and two others wounded.

At 10:05 p.m. on Friday, the Village of Monticello Police responded to a 911 report of shots fired at a home on Holmes Street. Officers found three wounded at the scene. The victims were a 27-year-old man, a 20-year-old woman and a 15-month-old baby boy.

The 15-month-old was flown by Medevac to the Westchester Medical Center. The child is currently listed in critical but stable condition.

The other victims were both transported by ambulance to Garnet Orange Medical Center. The 27-year-old man is listed in stable condition. The 20-year-old woman was treated and released.

Investigators said multiple rounds appear to have been intentionally fired from the outside into the home.

Police said no suspect information is available at this time.

New York State police are working in conjunction with Monticello police in the investigation.
