2 Mid-Hud Men Arrested With Forged Checks, Credit Cards: Police
One of the men tried to make a break for it.

KINGSTON, NY — Two mid-Hudson Valley men were arrested for having forged payroll checks and credit cards.
State Police said Khalil T. Sharp, 19, of Poughkeepsie, and DeAndre D. Green, 18, of Kingston, were stopped for a speeding violation on I-87 in Albany.
Police said they were in possession of forged payroll checks, forged credit creds and about 15 grams of marijuana.

Sharp was taken into custody, but Green fled from the scene.
He was tracked by a State Police K-9 unit, and police said he actively resisted arrest before he was finally taken into custody.

- Second-degree Possession of a Forged Instrument, a Class D Felony
- Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation
- Speeding Vehicle and Traffic Violation
He was arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court and sent to Albany County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or bond.

Green was charged with the following:
- Second-degree Possession of a Forged Instrument, a Class D Felony
- Resisting Arrest, a Class A Misdemeanor
- Second-degree Obstruction of Governmental Administration, a Class A Misdemeanor
- Third-degree Criminal Trespass: Enclosed Property, a Class B Misdemeanor
- Second-degree Criminal Impersonation, a Class A Misdemeanor
- Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation
He was arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court and sent to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail or bond.
Both men will reappear in court Feb. 21.
