2 Pounds Of Pot Seized From Niagara Falls Man: Police
Police said he was a passenger in a car that was stopped for a traffic violation.

TUXEDO, NY — More than 2 pounds of pot were seized after a traffic stop on the New York State Thruway. State police said troopers stopped a car around 1:40 p.m. March 3 on I-87 in the Town of Tuxedo for a vehicle and traffic violations.
After interviewing the vehicle's occupants, police said there was probable cause to search the car was established.
The passenger — Carnell Jones Jr., 28, of Niagara Falls — was found to be in possession of about 2.2 pounds of marijuana, police said.

Jones was taken into custody and charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.
He was arraigned in the Town of Monroe Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond.

Jones is scheduled to next appear in the Town of Tuxedo Court March 8.
