2 Woman Accused Of Assault, Robbery

Police said they were sent to jail in lieu of bail.

ELLENVILLE, NY — Two women were accused of assault and robbing another woman in Ulster County. State police said troopers were called Sept. 10 to an incident on Samsonville Road in the Town of Rochester.

When he got there, they spoke with a woman who said she was walking down the road when a green Dodge Neon stopped in front of her.

Two women got out of the car and punched the third woman in the face, police said.

They then held her against the car and stole her cellphone, according to the troopers.

The vehicle was located, and Tiffany Smith, 30, of Kerhonkson, was taken into custody.

She was charged with second-degree robbery, a felony, and unlawful possession or marijuana, a violation.

Christina Tirado, 31, of Accord, was located later and arrested.

She was found to be in possession of cocaine, oxycodone pills and marijuana, police said.

Tirado was charged with second-degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence, felonies, seven counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Both Smith and Tirado were sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of bail.
