2nd-Degree Murder Indictment For 2003 Stabbing Death
Police said the victim died sometime between Feb. 2 and 3, 2003.

GOSHEN, NY — The man accused of a 2003 stabbing death was arraigned Monday in Orange County Court. District Attorney David M. Hoovler said Felipe Campos, 40, of Middletown was charged with second-degree murder, a felony, in connection with the death of James Keating of Warwick.
The indictment said Campos intentionally caused Keating's death sometime between Feb. 2 and 3, 2003.
He was arrested Feb. 26 by the New York State Police. The case was presented to a grand jury which indicted Campos.

Bail was sent in the amount of $1 million bail or $2 million bond.
Campos is next scheduled to appear in court May 20.

Keating was found murdered in his Town of Warwick home. He was 55 at the time of the death and worked for FedEx in Mahway, New Jersey.
“It is important that law enforcement never cease looking for additional ways to solve crimes, particularly those which involve the loss of life,” Hoovler said. “I thank the New York State Police and the Town of Warwick Police for their untiring efforts to solve this particularly brutal homicide."
