4-Year-Old Dies From Injuries Suffered In July 17 Crash
The Woodbury child was in a two-car crash in the town of Cornwall.
CORNWALL, NY — A 4-year-old Woodbury child died from injuries she sustained in a two-vehicle crash July 17.
The New York State Police said Monday that Journey Dorch, 4, of Woodbury, died over the weekend.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. July 17 on Route 32 in the town of Cornwall.

Police said the preliminary investigation found that a 2009 Toyota Corolla, driven by Helen Rivera, 38, of the city of Newburgh, was going south when she crossed into the northbound lane and struck a 2010 Dodge Journey.
The Dodge was being driven by Catherine Swartz, 32, of Highland Mills.

Rivera was the sole occupant of the Corolla; she was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
There were nine people in the Dodge, three of whom, including Swartz, were taken to Westchester Medical Center. The remaining passengers were taken to St. Luke's Hospital with minor injuries.
State police could not say for certain what the relationship was between Swartz and Dorch.
