Sheriff deputies remained visible during the day Monday after the threat was determined to be a prank.

LAGRANGEVILLE, NY — A student was arrested Monday in relation to a threat — found later to be a prank — that forced Arlington High School to be put on lockdown. The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office charged a 15-year-old male student with falsely reporting an incident.

The teenager was referred to Family Court for further action.

Although it was determined that there was no imminent threat, school officials and sheriff's deputies remained visible for the rest of the school day to make certain the students and staff were safe in the building.
