Central Hudson to Begin Switch to Monthly Billing

Most customers had been receiving bills every other month.

Central Hudson customers will start getting monthly bills starting in July.

A posting on the company’s website said that the change not will affect non-residential and Budget Billing customers who are already billed monthly, along with those enrolled in the net metering program.

The reason for the change from bi-monthly bills, according to the company, is so customers can better manage month-to-month finances.

Meters will continue to be read every other month. An estimated billed based on past usage and other factors will be sent for months where the meters are not read.

The transition to monthly bills will begin in July. If your meter was read in June, your first monthly bill will be received in July.

If your meter was read in July, the first monthly bill you will receive will be in August.
